Little Bird Bakery is dedicated to creating great tasting (and looking) gluten-free and/or vegan baked goods. I firmly believe taste should never be sacrificed when it comes to food, no matter what your dietary restrictions, wether they stem from medical or ethical concerns. Nothing I make should taste good for “being vegan/gluten-free”, it should simply taste good. My goal is to create baked goods that please everyone, even those without dietary restrictions. Every recipe is tested on both vegans/gluten-intolerant as well as those without dietary restrictions to ensure the best possible taste and texture.
Little Bird Bakery consists of me, Erica Johnstone. I started baking gluten-free/vegan meals and treats about 5 years ago in Chicago, and relocated to Brooklyn in 2010. When I’m not baking I’m designing packaging (or rather the other way around) as a full-time freelance graphic designer.
